Rest for Recovery, and I fell ill..

Life since Houston has been slow, slow.
The weather's getting cold, cold. Last night, the mercury dropped below zero!

Its been a few weeks since I have put on my running gear and head outdoors ...the only times I have managed a run was after buses, trains. Which means I was running in boots, not trainers (ouch!)
Anything with poor arch support, doesnt do for walking. arrgh!

I'm conscious i need to get back to it but really wanted to see how it is to rest and if my plantar fascia heals itself. So in the last 2 weeks, I went 'overboard' in visiting the gym.

Starting to like the fun of spin classes - with SPD bike clips to be delivered...very soon, equipment wise (minus the wireless mic) - I'll be on par with any instructor :)

Yoga classes (so many new types of yoga bricks have turned up in the market!), Fast Abs, Swimming..you name it.

Along with eating well, or rather, heaps of eating out, early starts to work, socialising ...has taken its toll.
By sunday, I was coming down with the cold! Sneeze, sneeze. :(

No choice but to stop, and take stock.

Visits to my physio, accupuncturist, podiatrist (a reconfigured Team Bonnie?), confirmed I was doing the right things to recovery. My new running book says people with plantar fasciitis should 'avoid running in the morning' which I have done.

Why, why?

It is painful sitting and doing nothing, and especially when the mind is willing, the body isnt.
The refreshing fog, 100% humidity outside makes me feel like running. but, I must bide my time, and let it heal.
